Your TSP contribution percentage is set through myPay, not TSP.gov. Log in at mypay.dfas.mil, navigate to Thrift Savings Plan in the left menu, and update your Traditional and/or Roth percentages. Changes typically take effect the next available pay period โ mid-month changes often hit the following month's LES.
The fund mix (C, S, I, F, G funds, or Lifecycle L Funds) is managed at TSP.gov. You can rebalance your existing balance (Interfund Transfer) or change where future contributions go (Contribution Allocation) โ these are separate actions, both done at TSP.gov.
๐ Go to TSP.govTSP account access requires a login.gov account linked to your SSN. Here's the process:
โ Go to tsp.gov โ click Log In โ select Create an account via login.gov.
โก Verify your identity with a government-issued ID (driver's license or passport) and your SSN.
โข Set up two-factor authentication (authenticator app recommended).
โฃ Once logged in, your TSP account should auto-populate based on your SSN โ no separate enrollment needed if DFAS has been contributing on your behalf.
Tip: If you haven't logged in before, TSP may mail a one-time PIN to your address on record. Ensure your mailing address is current in myPay before attempting first access.
